How to perform
Main muscles working (thicker lines)
Starting position
Clean two kettlebells to the rack: handles at the collarbones, forearms vertical, elbows tucked against the ribs, feet hip-width.
Squeeze your glutes, brace your abs and grip the handles hard.
Press both bells up, letting the palms turn forward as they pass your face.
Lock out with the biceps beside the ears and the bells stacked over the shoulders.
Pull the bells back down to the rack under control, elbows returning to the ribs.
For the seesaw version, press one bell while the other stays racked, then switch as it comes down.
Breathing: Exhale as you press, inhale as you pull back to the rack.
Coaching tips
Glutes tight, ribs down
Forearms vertical
Pull them back down
Common mistakes
Leaning back to get the bells past the face
Elbows flaring wide in the rack
Wrists bending back under the bells
Dropping the bells instead of lowering them
Safety notes
Choose bells you can press without arching the lower back.
Keep the wrists straight to avoid strain.
