Starting position
Set a cable pulley low, stand side-on in a slight squat and hold the handle with both hands outside your near knee.
Brace your abs and keep your arms nearly straight.
Drive up through your legs and rotate your torso to pull the handle diagonally across your body.
Finish with hands above the opposite shoulder, pivoting the back foot.
Return slowly to the start and repeat, then switch sides.
Breathing: Exhale as you lift across, inhale as you return.
Coaching tips
Legs and hips start it
Rotate, don't lean back
Smooth return
Common mistakes
Arching the lower back at the top
Lifting with the arms only
Jerking the weight
Safety notes
Pivot the back foot so the rotation doesn't twist the knee.
