Starting position

Stand at the base of a climbing rope and grip it with both hands as high above the head as you can.

  1. 1

Pull down on the rope and hop, bringing the knees up toward the chest.

  2. 2

Wrap the rope around one leg and pinch it between the feet.

  3. 3

Stand up on the foot lock and reach both hands higher up the rope.

  4. 4

Release the feet, pull the knees up again and repeat to the top, then climb down hand over hand.

Breathing: Breathe steadily; exhale on each pull.
