Ingredients
Method
- 1
Pulse the dry oats in the blender jar 4–5 times until they are a coarse powder.
- 2
Add the apple, milk, curd and cinnamon. Blend on high for 60 seconds, scraping the sides once, until the apple skin has disappeared into the mix.
- 3
Add the ice and blend for 10 seconds more. Pour and drink within 15 minutes; the oats thicken it as it stands.
Tips
- Soak the oats in the milk overnight in the fridge and blend in the morning for the smoothest texture.
- Any crisp apple works; a sweet red apple needs no extra sweetener at all.
Swaps
- No curd? Use 250 ml milk in total: 2 g less protein, still a full breakfast.
Storage
Keeps overnight in the fridge in a closed jar; stir and thin with a splash of milk in the morning.
